The Monkey Tennis Centre (that's how we spell center here in the UK) has been going for exactly a month. I was lucky enough to get a link from James Taranto at WSJ online, which brought me a few visitors (here's the post he linked to), but other than that it's been pretty quiet – until now. So thanks to Theo Spark, Hot Air, and The Jawa Report for linking; to my commenters for your kind words; to my wonderful girlfriend for her encouragement; and to my brother Steve for dissuading me from giving up when I was spending hours posting but getting no response.
Thanks also to the BBC for the steady supply of oversights, errors and outright lies, and to Al Gore for being Al Gore. And a special thank-you to 'jaguar bp' for being my first moonbat.
I now have to go and find a pub so I can watch a very important football match (that's soccer for my US friends); I'll be back later. In the meantime have a great day!
Mike

My blog has been going for about 2 weeks, and I know what it's like.
You've set a very high standard so far, Mike - keep it up!
Good stuff. I'll add a link when I update my blogroll.
FYI, found you via USSNeverdock
Very good work, Mike in Bath. Just one question: your girlfriend's blog was quoted in the Guardian on Saturday and in two BBC links over the weekend. Does she know she's sleeping with the enemy? LOL!
Frank – if you check back and it's not too much trouble, could you give me some idea of where you saw those references to Melissa's blog? She's new to this as well, so she'd be interested on seeing what's being said about her. FYI she's not a total moonbat – she's more of a literary type than political, so is likely to attract the attention or morally and intellectually bankrupt, but artistically inclined types like the Guardian and BBC.
I'm working on her.
Cheers! Mike
Mike, I am an ex-Guardian journo, currently employed by the BBC. I'm working on you. Back to the AD I go.
"Morally and intellectually bankrupt"? Ah yes, the neocons know how to make a mockery of their own buddy-bloggers - those who use pictures of lasses with their boobs out to 'keep 'em coming'. Ah, bless. Yee-haw!
